The Gongaware Story follows a Woodruff family from its arrival of Emory who worked for the Chicago, Milwaukee and Northwestern Railroad. He, along with his wife Katherine,  brought their family north as the railroad industry expanded. In this display the young son, Donald, is showcased through his service in WW II, work as a Woodruff police officer and his family’s connection to the Dr. Kate story. His wife, Mary Grace, worked as the 1st secretary at the then newly opened Lakeland Memorial Hospital and both of their sons were “Dr. Kate Babies”.
