As part of the 70th Anniversary of the Million Penny Parade the Dr. Kate Museum is hosting the first ever Pickleball Tournament in the area. The tournament will be held at Lakeland Fitness and Golf in Woodruff on Saturday, April 22nd beginning at 8a.m.
This inaugural competition will feature doubles only. Registration and collection of fees can be completed at Lakeland Fitness and Golf. The one-day fee will be $25 per person for LF & G members. Nonmember fee to register will be $40 per person, which includes a $15 day pass. The tournament will be held on the racquet ball court and all equipment will be provided by Lakeland Fitness and Golf. The “kitchen” will be 5 feet instead of 7 feet.
The Dr. Kate Museum will provide prizes in the following amounts: 1st: $250; 2nd: $150; 3rd: $100. This event is part of a fund-raising effort by the Museum to build a much-needed addition to the existing structure. All registration fees and sponsor money go directly to the Dr. Kate Museum 70th Anniversary of the Million Penny parade building fund.

All sponsors will be recognized with rolling credits on televisions at Lakeland Fitness and Golf the day of the contest.
